100 ball Queens platinum tournament u 11
Queen's Platinum Jubilee Under 11s 100 Ball Tournament
On the 12th of June, we celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a 100-ball cricket tournament for under 11s. Five teams attended the event which was held at the MP Sports Cricket Academy ground in the Kingsey Road, Thame.
After some heavy spells of rain the week before, we were extremely lucky with the weather and the sun shone all day with a slight cooling breeze - perfect for cricket!
Five teams took part in the event: Marlow; Bledlow Village; Cookham Dean; Horspath and MP Academy, each playing a minimum of two games.

All teams showed great sportsmanship and it was good to see everyone enjoying themselves and cheering each other on.
It was Horspath and MP Academy that eventually got through to the final, with Horspath taking the trophy in the end, after a very exciting match. All participating team members won a special Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medal and Dhruve Dave from MP Academy was awarded 'man of the tournament.'

The next 100 ball tournament will be for the under 13s which was unfortunately postponed due to bad weather. We hope to rearrange this tournament for the 3rd of July.
