Queen's 90 Not out Birthday celebration with Street Cricket Party & Live steal Band In Thame Town Center.Date 10 th june Time 6.30 pm

The Queen's 90 Not Out  Birthday celebration with Street Cricket Party & Live steal Band In Thame Town High Street.

Friday 10 th June Time 6:30 pm -9:00 pm

My name is Manoj Parmar I am an ex (1st Class) cricket professional who played from 1990-2001 in India and Scotland before setting up a Cricket Academy in Thame, Oxfordshire. I am also a member of the M.C.C.

MP Sports Cricket Academy based in Thame. We organised Junior Cricket coaching and courses designed to encourage children to enjoy sport for life. As an ECB level 3 Coach, I have been working alongside schools throughout England and Wales and also around the globe for over 32 years.

When I was growing up in India, I would collect newspaper cuttings about matches played at Lord’s Cricket ground (especially England v Australia when Her Majesty shakes hands with each player) and that level of passion is passed onto all the children we meet and teach in Oxfordshire. However, we would like to reach more non-active children through holding cricket matches as part of Her Majesty’s birthday celebrations. These are not normal games of cricket… the town centre will be closed so that the matches can take place right in the middle of the stunning High Street!

The High Street will be closed to traffic from 4.30pm and the event will be opened at 6.15pm with a live Steel Band and at 6.30pm

  • In front of the town hall, will be all of the cricket activities
  • The live steel band will be in the middle of the town centre
  • Behind the town hall will be a picnic area, please bring your own chairs or blankets and your own food and drinks.
  • Please do not bring any of your own cricket equipment, all cricket equipment will be provided by mp sports to prevent damage to people and property.

If possible please bring a union jack flag(small or big ) we all sing the National anthem at 8.45 pm

Function Itinerary:

·         6:15pm Live Steel Band

·         6:30pm The first bowl will be bowled by the Thame Mayor, Linda Emery – to our local MP, John Howell
