This year is another special milestone for MP Cricket Academy. We are proud to be celebrating our 9th anniversary since obtaining our ground, and it also marks Manoj’s 41st year of professional cricket coaching. With these achievements in mind, we are continuing the same successful initiatives that have made such a positive impact on our community.
Our partnership with MP Sports Development Trust remains at the heart of this mission. Through this partnership, children aged 5–9 are able to play for free with us at Lord Williams Lower School Indoor Sports Hall during our winter indoor cricket programme. This initiative has been an outstanding success, with a huge number of children eager to join and take part.
Thanks to the continued support of our members and community, we are pleased to confirm that this opportunity will once again extend into the main season.
All players aged 5–9 can become members and play for free.
Unfortunately, players aged 10–15 and adult players will still be required to pay to participate.
As many of you know, our founder Manoj Parmar grew up in India and faced significant challenges throughout his life. These experiences shaped his lifelong commitment to ensuring that children have access to sport, regardless of background or financial circumstance.
With the rising cost of living in the UK, playing sport—particularly cricket—has become increasingly expensive. Too many children miss out simply because they cannot afford the costs involved. This is why we continue to provide free access for younger players, as well as free equipment whenever possible, ensuring that any child who wants to play cricket has the opportunity to do so.
Our goal is simple: to get more children active, engaged in sport, and supported in building healthier, more confident lifestyles.
While older players will still need to pay, we are pleased to confirm that fees will not increase this year. Training for older age groups requires more time, structure, and individual development, and our focus remains on refining skills and supporting long-term progression. We appreciate your understanding and continued support in this direction.
